We continue with criticism of the third volume of the Library of Scarpa. I say again that the reviews of volumes may not be made in order. The story scores are now given Gathered in the end together with an average 🙂
Stories
Gufotarzan: I liked seeing a very close relative of Goofy. He had a thing about how Mickey and Goofy and Pete were dealing with the difficulties in the desert or in the rainforest. I liked the gang stuff. Another twist I liked is Gufotarjan's whole case. That's not exactly how I expected it. Of course, I didn't like how Pete was beaten in the end, but okay. 😛
The Golden Heir: That story shouldn't be telling Donald. Duck in the title but Gastone 😛 The story once again shows how irritatingly lucky Gastone is. So much so that until whatever Uncle Scrooge is doing to him, it's good for him while Donald is hopelessly unlucky. The last frame with the chase all the money. The nephews probably learned something from this story.
The Dollar Worm: Hmm... something the exaggeration in the whole story, something that in some phases I didn't like... I can't say I'm excited. Generally the weakest story of the volume for me. Scrooge and he's too much and he's too easily convinced while the Marrows somehow lose design.
The Myth of the Flying Scot: The best story in the volume by far! It starts with a mystery, then goes to more familiar lakes. I generally liked the various gangs, the way the story has a beginning, middle and end. The Cuby awesome bird, while the frames with Scrooge asking if he gets to make a $10 investment asking up to how much uranium he made me die laughing. 🙂 The only thing that didn't make me satisfied was the coloring in some phases but also the explanation for the flying Scot in the end.
Total
Like I said, the last one stands out. Generally the level of stories is good. The plan is good, but the Dollar Worm is also in some parts and scripts. Of course, the volume as a whole is very nice and read pleasantly.
