Mickey Mouse #154 with Casty's return planning after a while. Last story we had on his plan was in COMIX 17 – The 7 Boglins.
Garden Monsters (23 pages)
- Project: Castie
I loved the cover. Of course, it's something simple unlike the other things Castie's used to, but it's beautiful. It generally bonded nicely. And the plan is as great as ever. 9/10
Mickey and Pluto shrink in insect size because of a dust and race their way back to their normal size. But they find them dark when they're faced with Mickey's garden bugs.
So we've got Castie at Mickey Mouse. The story was pretty good, but of course it wasn't the level Castie's used to with his very strong stories like The Great Brother, The Island of Time And so on, but I liked reading a story about the artist's design after all this time. He had a lot of points that make you laugh, but what I liked and I got left is the frame with Goofy talking about goofy. How deadly she is ![]()
The plot generally goes straight, but it's not something terrible. The end is indeed simple since the solution comes with concise procedures. I was also impressed that the phrases that formed the ants on the wall were not translated into Greek... When I saw it, I got distracted. But anyway. It might even make sense that the script is simpler because as I said in a previous article history belongs to the series Cartoon, very funny. In this series as far as I remember the stories were generally simple but also closer to old cartoon styles. In this series, for example, the story belonged Ghost Hunters which is obviously a metaphor of cartoon Lonesome Ghosts The 1937 in comic form.
On the plan side now. I thought the plan was great. Very good and I really like how he plans Castie Mickey and Pluto. And the garden was beautifully designed. I have nothing negative to say about that. In short, we have a story with a moderate scenario, not from the strong but with a beautiful design.
I spent my time reading the story. However, it's true that she's one of Casty's weakest, so if they shared his stories at Mickey Mouse and Komix, I wouldn't be surprised that we saw her at Mickey Mouse and that his best people were getting into COMIX. Just so I mention this, don't get me wrong.
We are now awaiting the next story impatiently.

31 May 2017Ενδιαφέρουσα παρατήρηση.
