Some time ago (when the article was written), reading Fantomia's stories on Mickey Mouse created some questions that I put to the awesome Marco Gervasio from facebook. Answers arrived in 1-2 hours!
1) On page two, fifth frame, of history «The Curse of Pharaoh» (Micky Mouse 138) There is a photograph of a man and woman in front of the Eiffel Tower. Is it Lord John Lamont Quackett's parents, as I suppose? In addition, I noticed a great similarity between them and the actors (who pretend to be Fantomia and Dolly Paprika) in history «Silence in the Hall» (Micky Mouse 137).
Hey, Chris, I'm really happy to have a lot of fans in Greece. I try to answer quickly (I work on Fantomia's nineteenth story right now). Yes, they're Lord Quackett's parents... and you'll get to know them better in the next few stories! The resemblance to actors (who pretend to be Fantomia and Dolly Paprika) is random (but you will meet them later).
2) I noticed that Fantomia's turn takes place in the Barks-Rossa universe and, in particular, during his eleventh episode «Life and Scrooge McDuck State». You've even mentioned Vulcana McDuck in a background. Are you planning on including her, perhaps along with her famous babies, into some future story?
Yes, Fantomia's turn takes place in the Barks-Rossa universe! From 1920 to 1930 with some flashbacks in the past! Vulcana and Matilda McDuck have already made a brief appearance at the theatre in a frame of seventh history "The Eighth Wonder of the World" (Micky Mouse 139)... Maybe we'll see her again in the future...
(3) Is there a chance Fantomy will come to our time and meet Phantom Duck?
As I said in an interview taken from a Greek fanzin, Fantomia will meet Phantom in the future... but it won't exactly be a time trip ...!
(4) I don't know how strong it is, but it would be great to see a partnership between you and Don Rosa for an interesting new chapter in the history of Limnoupoli! I noticed something similar in history «Il ladro e il miliardario» (The Thief and the Billionaire, unpublished in Greece, where Scrooge is presented in Titanic!).
It would be a dream for me to work with the great Don Rosa! But I'm afraid it's very difficult. Still, you'll see something like that soon on Thief and Billionaire! Also, there will soon be a story about a very popular history of Barks, placed in Notre Duck!
(5) Finally, I would like to ask if you are interested/have the time to visit Greece during one of the comic festivals organized here in the future. We (Greek fans) look forward to it! Hey!
