HAIKYU! The Dumpster Battle
The «HAIKYU! The Dumpster Battle» It's one of the anime movies I expected to see. Finally, I attended her in our country in Japanese (with Greek subtitles) in Village Cinemas last June.
Introduction
What sports anime I have watched have not let me down, but instead leave me with one smile at a time. Haikyu is therefore no exception to the rule. Very nice film even though it was only 85 minutes and I say that because I wish it was more.
As regards the series it is the first part of the fifth season. So, before you see her, you should have attended the show or at least some seasons. I would definitely suggest, in the first season, because the film is based on a promise between Shoyo and Kenma made in this season.
The promise of a wonderful match
The film covers a wonderful official match between friends, which was quite important. I liked the fact that he focused equally on both opponents and protagonists. We had flashbacks which were flowing harmoniously and generally there was the combination of «slice of life»And emotions during the race. What I particularly like about the sport anime I have seen is that characters surpass themselves, face their weaknesses during the game and strive to become better. My film caused very nice feelings and reminded me of the love I had for volleyball once.
Wonderful characters
There were some scenes in the film that made you laugh at the characters' reactions. My dear scene was where Hinata screamed with joy about what Kenma said. Hinata defeated his fear and «fly» breaking his cage while Kenma began to enjoy the game. The film has been a plot sequel since the first season and has resulted in both developing as characters and players. He demonstrated all of Haikyu's virtues: love for sports, healthy competition and personal development through wonderful characters.
Animation & Music
From the perspective of animation, it was at good levels, close to what the series has used to, while the music was ideal.
General Thoughts
As good as it was «HAIKYU! The Dumpster Battle», could unfold in eight or ten episodes. It would have had better flow and it would have included some scenes from the manga that were cut. Perhaps as a regular season he focused more on other characters. However, without knowing why they chose this form, I will say I enjoyed it. Within these 85 minutes, they managed to show us not only how Shoyo and Kenma felt, but a match full of intensity.

Based on the original manga series Weekly Shonen Jump by Haruichi Furudate, HAIKYU!!! is an anime that revolves around Shoyo Hinata's love for volleyball. Hinata creates a volleyball team in the last year of high school. Unfortunately, the team faces its team in the first tournament «King of the stadium», Tobio Kageyama, and inevitably loses. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to overcome Kageyama. Entering high school, Hinata enters the volleyball team and discovers that Tobio is also a member.
