Editor's Choice Classical Library Disney Mythology (Volume 1)

Editor’s Choice we were talking about what we will have this year and when it will come. And finally Kathimerini will bring us not one not two but ten volumes. Of course, the name of this new series is Classic Disney Library (has Editor’s Choice on the covers of course 😛 ) That's probably because as we suspected, it became a choice of stories.

To recall that the name of the Italian version is Le più belle storie Disney. As we know from these volumes, we'll see ten this year. As you will have understood the volumes are volumes of stories that have a specific theme each time. The first volume has mythology as a subject and so we have stories about this subject, the second with aliens and so on.

The cover is soft, which I don't mind so much, and beautiful. (Sure Italian as far as I can remember was hardy...) The covers of the series are by Andrea Freccero. (more on his personal blog) Paper quality isn't the best thing since we're talking about newspaper paper... Library of Scarpa approximately) And the back is fine and to say I really liked her whole setup. And it is uniform and every volume (up above) has a color that changes every time. I find that there is no numbering but I understand the logic because volumes are thematic and their turn is not so important. Still, eventually the total pages of each volume are 164. So as I said above, there was a choice of stories and five of the nine stories that the Italian volume had entered the first volume. On the one hand, it was as you remember what happened with the Library of Scarpa in the summer. So almost half volumes, too.

I didn't expect the volume size to be any closer to Large Splash. I thought it would be closer to the Library of Scarpa. Surprise that, not so positive. And it looks like this is the biggest negative of the edition. In the opinion this publication is doing more for a stand like the rest of Editor’s Choice. It's like Splash with fewer pages and better paper but that's it. I think 3,00 or 3,50 euros is a more honest price. It is not compared to what has so far entered with the paper as a previous offer. The Scarpa But the size justified the price better.

Articles do not have any (well in the Italian version was a page). The publication is for the simplest world, so it's full of stories.

Their coloring is what was used the first time the stories were published. That's obvious especially in the last story.

However, I believe that this series aims even more at the general public and not at the most burned as was the case in the Scarpa series, Great Disney Stories for example where we even had drafts and were for a specific creator. The same goes for Italy, and that is why the series has no strict traffic rate. Unexpected her coming as we waited for another. Anyway, I was glad to have a series to buy with the paper, but I can't say I wasn't happy about its size. I'd rather he was out of the paper like Big Splash.
