Uncle Scrooge in Atlantis
New multi-page story with Uncle Scrooge «Paperone in Atlantis», «Maestro» Fabio Cheloni! The cover, as you can see, has its characteristic design, which I find excellent, along with a wonderful coloring.
The title of history in Greek will be logical «Uncle Scrooge in Atlantis». After the 190-page monster «Il destino di Paperone» (Uncle Scrooge’s Destiny), the creator returns with an even bigger 164 page history!
You tell me, AtlantisWhat does that remind us of? Apparently Barks' classic story. «The Secret of Atlantis» and his story series Castie with Clara Loft. It is therefore not the first search of the mythical island in the universe of the Ducks and Mouses. The point is, it's featured in Cheloni's version. However, the number of pages increases our expectations.
What do we know about the story?
Some information about the story:
- It consists of four parts, the publication of which was published in Topolino #3661-3664, and a total of 164 pages.
- The script and plan are both from Fabio Cheloni.
- He has a mini prologue published in Free Comic Week in December 2025 as preview.
- Topolino in social media had made a very beautiful advertising video as propellant energy.
- From what we can see from the first frames, the special style of Cheloni is used to the fullest with a different style than usual. According to the website Fumettologica, the creator went from the original theme to many preliminary sketches, bypassing the stage of scripting. Then followed the clean drawing on leaves A5, a size similar to that of Topolino.
- The collection volume containing it will have dimensions a little larger than those of COMIX and will be released on 14 May in Italy. It will include various extras, such as interviews and material about the creation of history.
Summary
The summary given by amazon Italy for history in the collectible hardbound volume:
Uncle Scrooge secretly begins all a lonely journey for the legendary Atlantis, determined to conquer her treasures. But his fate plays an ugly game: a terrible storm hits his ship and lures it into the depths of the sea!
Donald and the nephews, armed with courage and hope, begin to seek him out. — But the same fate awaits them. They are also drawn by the furious waves, along with a dark figure dressed in red, who followed them in the shade. What mystery is behind all this?
What are our final thoughts?
Personally, because of the design and size, I have put this story in my new top 5 that I expect to read in Greek. The whole look reminds me of the attention the Italians pay to Parodies, but also generally on «large» stories. This is something I find interesting, so I can't wait to read it in our country, and let it take a while.
