Review: Great Stories Disney Volume 19 – The Man from Altatraz

The Man from Altacraz

The best story of the volume with Scarpa to have the reins and the design and script. What made an impression is this story kind of different from the rest of Scarpa we've seen so far because you need to watch the details on some frame. Personally, I had to read it twice to observe some things. However, I admit that I was confused at first and by the black figure of her evil story at first as she looked like Geronimo. Then it made sense because the villain of history as revealed is an ace in disguises and most of it made our heroes (and us) lose the ball without realizing it. Strong story and all I can say is that I've had a hard time with the script is his luck. Mickey To the end. Of course he had some nice gang. On the bright side, coloring didn't bother me so much. 99% Unfortunate

Well, look at him. Uncle Scrooge. He starts his day learning about his horoscope He does a good deed and comes back a good one in a confused way. A good plan with Scarpa beautifully rendering the figures of ducks especially in the scenes in the North Polo where they go to get frozen. I liked this idea of the screenwriter as he showed Scrooge's most sensitive side. Of course, good and the twists where in the end the only winner is really Gastone In every respect. Unfortunately, the coloring is ugly and it doesn't let me fully enjoy the story.

The Rings of Doge

This story had a nicer translation (in most places) and much better coloring when I had read it in Classic #201. They didn't forget to put the stamp on the bus."Small Explorers"that the Italian version has. Donald can't go anywhere and he can't stand his neighbor and he says he's going to Venice. So gossip and misinformation begin. I wonder how much more messy it would be if there were social media back then. 😛 He manages to go but eventually makes a hole in the water. Good scenario that exploits his weakness Donald to hold his temper. He must have learned the best thing to do is keep your mouth shut.

The Little Lucky

I didn't like that script story so much. Maybe when it came out it was something different to see Donald win such a prize money but after all the stories I've read it seemed like a terrible cliché to me. Plus, I was really pissed off about the nephews at the beginning of the story. Nice design, but the coloring was bad...

Very good volume with a very long fulling story. And the rest of me think they were from good to very good. A great disadvantage is once again coloring.
