Christmas COMIX #18 with 100% Carl Barks! The cover is an oil painting of Barks and specifically the "Gifts for Shacktown" 1975! The eighteenth COMIX has total, along with single page, 20 stories. Let's take a look at the 2015 stories of the last COMIX!

The first story "Letter to Santa Claus" It has 24 pages, a classic I would describe this story of Barks.

Summary:
Donald and Uncle Scrooge go to extremes to offer Huey, Lewis and Dewey the gift they had asked of Santa Claus! Celebrate humor with the background of the snowy Limnoupoli from Carl Barks' magic pen!

That's a beautiful Christmas story I've been waiting to read in COMIX! Barks with his beautiful design (at the beginning of his prime) gives us beautiful hilarious battles between Uncle and nephew, the character of Uncle Scrooge with his cunning (to be told that this story marks Scrooge's seventh appearance), Donald's misfortune and Santa Claus! I loved the story, especially the battle with steam-powered excavators, but also the part where Scrooge tells the Judge his familiar phrase:
«Careful, man! I'm the Scrooge McDuck And if I don't like what you say, I'll buy the city and fire you!»

I generally enjoyed it! And the end was hilarious, especially Scrooge. Personally, I think it's one of Barks' best Christmas stories. I'll put one on. 9–9,5/10!

The second story is "Best Christmas".

Summary:

Donald and his nephews start to have Christmas at Grandma Duck's farm, but on their way snow makes it difficult for them to be cared for by a poor family.

Barks' plan is beautiful again. Through the story he wanted to pass a message, and he passed it on to me. I liked the way the nephews behaved in the end, kindly. In general, history was written in a difficult time, but of course we can see similarities with today's era, if we think about it well. For example, nagging symbolizes the moaning that exists today for various reasons (difficulties etc.), the poor family symbolizes the poverty that exists today... A symbolic story, we'd say. We'll put one on. 8,5/10.

Third story is "The Country of Games".

Summary:
Santa takes Donald and his nephews with him to his workshop at the North Pole, so they can try his games.

Again the plan is beautiful, but the story was not very strong. I would say the weakest of the issue, as the script was very simple (as if it does not exist in a sense) but a beautiful conclusion that Santa Claus made at the end. That the grown-ups are still kids, so we're gonna put the 7,5/10.

The fourth story is "Christmas on the lighthouse".

Summary:
Christmas Eve. Donald works as a lighthouse keeper, but the nephews worry about their Christmas gifts, in bad weather making things even more unbearable. But an albatross will change the data.

Very beautiful story! The albatross was just smashing! Some frame with Donald gave me incredible laughter, and his question at the end of the story about what happened was enjoyable! To emphasise that, as always, Barks' sea plans were wonderful. So, 9/10!

Fifth story is "The new games".

Summary:
The nephews decide to work to buy their Christmas toys. In the end, Donald gets them, but they give them to some poor kids.

Don't repeat my plan. I'll say I liked the script. The nephews try to make money to buy their new toys, but they fail because of their rush. Of course, this helps them to acquire the new toys, but the spirit of the days prevails when they see sadly some poor children. History shows us another side of Donald's nieces. Not the one who's enlightened, but the kindness and consciousness they have, to do a good deed. One, 9/10 We'll put it on.

The sixth story is "Three good ducks".

Summary:
The nephews are afraid they won't get presents this year, because they weren't a good duck in the time they spent. So they try until the last minute to prove the opposite to their uncle, but things don't come what they want...

Scandal nephews, the best and most fun nephews? That's what history wants to show, and it does! Donald with the vista undivided friends in such stories. Very beautifully structured, both design and scriptural. It was in some phases like the plan was "talking" itself. Along with the main story the best of the issue. Her article too good.

One 9–9,5/10 We'll put it on!

Let us now examine the single-page issue, all Barksians and 14, please! The COMIX 14 We had five single-pages, which I thought were meaningless and tiring, but here, although we have many more, not only did they not tire me, but they were all good and had something to say. In general, Barks' single-pages are on a different level than single-page creators, which we have in the Second Period. So I don't think it's so negative that we had so many. It should be said that we had many advertisements (9 I think) of issues, which I did not like, but to tell the truth that I understood them after reading the issue for the second time. I mean, I was fascinated. both stories and amazing oil paintingsThat we had, that I didn't pay that much attention. In short, although we had two small negatives, the issue as a whole was very successful. To add, the letter column had two pages, which made me a little happy.

COMIX #18 achieves its purpose as a festive issue! Christmas oil paintings, wonderful articles about every normal story, beautiful stories in the spirit of the holidays, so all this with him gives him one 9–9,5/10 as an issue. He didn't get tired at all, and I enjoyed it. One of the top issues in the series. The issue, however, could also be a beautiful gift for the holidays.

Now let's go to the next COMIX, where we'll see a completely unexpected story of Don Rosa as a 26-page main story. In particular we will have a reprint of the creator's first story, "The Son of the Sun". (I didn't see it coming with Nothing. to enter, and so the last prediction I had made is not verified...) This story has been in the past COMIX 89 1995 and 2008 COMIX Library...so it's relatively recent, and it's easy to find... It's running Friday 29 January. We don't know anything about the rest of the story. Of course, our presentation does not end here, as we have a big talk about the next issue.

Picsou et le fils du soleil

First for the cover, which is very beautiful, let's say a few words:

In the new issue 19 of COMIX there is no mention or signature of Rosa... And I already saw that, in the diary they pulled, which has this image, (unlikely January) Rosa's signature exists! I guess this is about the copyright that Rosa has put in his name... A lot of coincidences, though. Of course, they have no framework, but they have also forgotten to put the caption with the name of the main story.

Don Rosa's story could mean a lot of things:

  • We have a reprint of old history, which we did not expect. But this can be encouraging in some way, as now we can see old published stories that one can hardly find...
  • Is it my idea or are they promoting Rosa? That is, Calendar 2016 and his first history in the next issue... Hmm... You think that means something? Maybe they finally want to take the Comics Library, who say and want to promote Rosa through the magazine, as with Barks for the Disney Library? In Italy they are already planning to take out (they are very close) new volumes with his stories... (And I guess I'll go in Italian Comic Con.)
  • Rosa, like Barks, is a constant value... They'll have sales.
  • There were a number of people on Facebook who wanted Rosa in the magazine again... Maybe they heard them?
  • They want to combine the classics with new creators... Have both old and new readers happy?

Personally, I think the next one will have Rosa, some history of Mottura, which has no cover and ten-pages... In general, even though I've read the story, I'm going to read it again with the next issue. According to the above... what do you think?
