Kaiju No. 8 anime which is based on manga with the same title arrives in April 2024 in Japan. Shonen manga's chapters started coming out from July 2020 in Shonen Jump+ and so far 8 volumes have been released in English via Viz Media. Below we have the new trailer released on Jump Festa 2024 for the anime.

Towards the end of the trailer, we see that the anime will be available for viewing also in X (ex) Twitter) At the same time World wide! This is an unprecedented experience, as it will be the first anime that the official projection will be made through X.

Something I'd like to comment on a little bit is character design. The characters seem to have different face dimensions as opposed to the manga. I don't know why it's happening, but it's something that I notice on the trailer and on the new poster.

However, animation looks quite good, and I think that anime will be one of the things that will concern us in 2024.

In a world plagued by threatening creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to join the Japanese Defense Force to defeat them.
«Let's eliminate Kaiju together», promised Kafka to his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Over time, the conditions of life forced them to go separate ways and had to give up his life’s ambition.
He was found working at Monster Sweeper, Inc. a professional cleaning company, specialized in cleaning the consequences of fighting Kaiju. Meanwhile, Mina Ashiro is now the leader of the 3rd Division of the Defense Force. As it stands, he is currently unworthy of fighting Kaiju on her side.
In his work, Kafka meets the extremely active Reno IchikawaReno's firm determination to join the Defense Force leaves no room for failure. His insistence awakens Kafka's ambition to stand next to Mina again, as they protect humanity together from Kaiju.
