The difference between the sketch and today is impressive! The Topolino #3187 which will be released early March, the story will be published "Una Ballata del Topo Salato" (The salt mouse ballad), starring of course Mickey in Corto's role. In short, we are talking about a very powerful duo who can offer us a very good story and design and script!

When I promised to create a parody I had a conflicting reaction, from the point of view of joy and enthusiasm, but on the other hand there was concern about the difficulty of reinterpreting such an important story. I helped Bruno Enna, who wrote a wonderful script, giving effective evidence not as simple as the relationship of Short and Pandora who found a delicate and perfect balance. With this story I was returned by the desire to experiment graphically on new adventures!

I've done so many tests, sketches and deletions, but Mickey in the end, as a good actor, took the role of Corto Maltese. I only had a few problems with Mickey's height, if he had a few more inches in height, he'd better wear Corto's wide pants and classic jacket.

Of all the above, it seems that history will be a very interesting metaphor. The nice thing about these Disney parodies that Italy's been doing for the past few years has been nice to introduce you to another world that may not be known to you but they're making you look for information about the original version.
