When last year we realized that the main stories that entered COMIX were the ones that appeared in Disney Calendar 2016 We were afraid to face the 2017 cover. With the release of COMIX #30 we suspected that we would see the rest of the year reprints of Rosa's stories. We got our hands on the calendar and we were surprised. In February the calendar had the cover of the story The Golden River Carl Barks. What the hell are we gonna see at COMIX this year?

What can we see in COMIX for the rest of the year?

It was recently announced by the philosophical COMIX that COMIX #32 will have reprint of history One Ten Youth And in his article he says he believes that all the episodes of Life and the State of Scrooge McDuck will be reissued. I personally doubt that. As we can see for the month of January Rosa's cover for the story appears The Golden Curtain And they put the story of Don Rosa Columbus Lost Maps Which is essentially a sequel to Barks' story. The month of February is the cover of history The Golden River And we'll see the story One Ten Youth. What do these two stories have to do with anything? In Carl Barks' classic story, Scrooge says he was picking up logs as a kid to make money while now in history A Ten of Youths starring Little Scrooge. For the month of March there is the cover for history Land in Earth’s Land And the only resemblance I could find is to the story. A Cowboy in Catty Shark . In Barks' history Scrooge loses his hat while in Rossa's history a similar half-high passes through the hands – or rather better than Scrooge's head –. I don't believe that the reprints of Vios – or at least directly – will continue from there because in April our calendar betrays us we will see the story My little horse, my darlingSo it's hard to see anything else that month.

Summer what volumes will we see with Kathimerini?

In general we cannot understand where they are going. There doesn't seem to be any pattern around the publications. And if I'm wrong and since February they start printing all of Vio and the State of Scrooge, then why didn't they start doing that in January?

And there's another paradox around publishing. Every year since 2014 Kathimerini only prints 16 volumes of comic books in the summer. This year, when Barks' turn is over, they're gonna publish Rosa's stories in volumes? Like the COMIX Library? Two possibilities I've thought of, since we know that the Rosa reprints at COMIX will probably continue all year round, what volumes we'll see in Summer:

1) They publish the COMIX library in the summer. Then they'll put stories in the COMIX that they've already published at the COMIX Library? That's very strange and meaningless, doesn't it?

2) This year they do not publish the COMIX Library. Then what will they issue in the summer? Will they issue something in summer?

By the way, if they publish the COMIX Library without articles and information, as Terzopoulos did, then the publication will be very poor and no point in buying it. I wish they could make volumes rich in information and have Rosa's introductory notes, but it's probably impossible to do that.

What stories do I want to see?

I, besides wanting to see luxurious editions of Rossa's stories from Kathimerini—and not as they are published in COMIX with boring articles and miserable coloring—I would like to see some stories that have drawn my attention and interest for a very simple reason: They're based on classic stories by Carl Barks and Don Rosa!

In general, as a fan of Barks and Rosa's classic stories, I am very pleased to see stories based on the universe of great creators. And that's why I'd like to introduce you to some stories I've discovered that have taken my interest in.

Note The following stories are anecdotes in Greece and that is why the title has not been translated.

Donald’s Homemade Christmas

Inducks code: D 2012-058

This story differs from others because many McDuck members make a reappearance, such as Scrooge's sisters and parents.

The Orphan’s Christmas

Inducks code: D 2013-026

In this story Uncle Scrooge tells a story from his childhood in Glasgow that helped an orphan girl save her orphanage from a greedy businessman.

Back to Bear Mountain

Inducks code: D 9614

THE Daniel Branca wrote a sequel to the story entitled Back to Bear Mountain published in Donald Duck Adventures #32-33. It would be very nice to see history in Greece as well.

Also, there is a fairly similar Inducks Code: I TL 2717-1, already issued in Greece in Mickey Mouse #2423-24

Il ladro e il miliardario

Inducks code: IC TL 3145

In history Fantomia meets Scrooge, what caught my attention is the setting inspired by the eleventh chapter of Viu. Now, anyway, That Mickey Mouse brings back Fantomy I hope to see at least there the story published.

Finally, to say that these are not the only stories devoted to the Great Creators. There are others like a sequel to history. The Pirate’s Gold I've seen information about the sequel, but unfortunately I've forgotten what it's called. From that point on, he'll be better off. Disney Editor To find such stories and publish them! 🙂
