What did we think of Super Valentina with Casty's story?
Super Valentina (30 pages)
- Plan: Vitale Mangiatordi
- Screenplay: Roberto Gagnor
I found it good enough for the central story he's framed. 7,5/10
A Super heroine is born and comes to protect the sensitive hearts of Limnoupoli.
This story has a very good plan. Superhero style and a little romance. I didn't expect to like the plan so much but it was generally very good and modern. With beautifully designed buildings and atmosphere. Things we see more on the front page of history. The script's not a big deal. Moderate but generally I liked the whole result. It has some phases with Phantom and Fantomina/Marvel Duck that are quite funny. There's a phase in Super Valentina that keeps getting away from our heroes and is finally added to the superhero ducks we know.
Something's in the dark.
- Project – Screenplay: Castie
Dense darkness covers Mickey City while mysterious creatures eliminate its inhabitants... Will Mickey and Goofy be able to solve the mystery?
Of the other stories the only one I believe is worth the above as a second central and even if it were the only story beyond the first would have no issue. The design of the story I find wonderful having this classic yet modern call that Casty offers in his stories with Mickey. Everything was beautifully designed from characters to buildings. But the plan isn't Casty's only possible point, but he's also a very good screenwriter. The script is something fresh and kind of reminds of some horror movie. I also liked the part where they made a movie in the end. It started and ended like a movie. Good for Casty for his story and the best of the issue by far. I thanked her! That's a story I expected to see in another edition, but it's okay. We're doing cases and maybe Kathimerini in 2018 will surprise us with changes again. Let's say that parodies from Topolino don't get into Mickey Mouse and wait for them elsewhere.
