The Colossus of Rhodes

Let's start over. The2005Castie writes the script for the storyThe Colossus of Rhodesthat we first read in Greece on the pages of the magazineAlmanac #210The2008!

In the plan is «conductor»Giorgio Kavacanowhile in the script, the talented Castie. This results in a very nice story with our well-known duo Mickey and Goofy along with the explorer archaeologistClara Loftfull of mystery, action and myths. It's amazing how Castie is messing with Greek history with enough fiction creating a film plot full of twists.

The story closes with our heroes learning some truths about the legendary Colossus of Rhodes. Thus it is revealed that this particular story is part of a larger series and mystery that isThe search for Atlantis!

Atlantis Mines

Let us now move to the second part of the series which isAtlantis Mines(Topolino e le miniere di Fantametallo). This one, createdcompletelyby Castie in 2011. In our country we were lucky to read it in 2014COMIX #5 of Season II.

Clara Loft meets Mickey and Goofy again. This time their exploration will lead them to the depths of the Cornwall Ocean. It's impressive that Casti can literally connect, myths or ancient history and give a convincing (scientific) explanation.

Part two ends with questions and promises about continuity. I wonder if our heroes will be able to learn the secret of the brass and what happened to Atlantis?

The Atlantis Range

If I were to make a prediction for Part Three it is that the people of Atlantis will be quite advanced. Atlantis we have. «Again» andin the stories of legendary Carl BarksBarks imagined the Atlas as anthropomorphic amphibian beings. So it gives me an interest to see Castie's version and how she'll fit it.in Mickey's universe.

Among the very positive elements of the Italian creator is the intelligent incorporation of modern technology into its stories. That without restricting them or making them escape. This is extremely difficult and I don't remember any other Disney designer doing it with such mastery.

The title isTopolino e il raggio di Atlantis, di Casty(The Coast of Atlantis) with the first part of the story entering Topolino's 3177 issue. The sequel to the next issue.

Το Topilno 3178 έχει και ένα εναλλακτικό εξώφυλλο που είναι αφιερωμένο στο δεύτερο μέρος της νέας ιστορίας του Κάστυ. Είμαι πολύ ενθουσιασμένος για αυτήν και θεωρώ πολύ τυχερούς τους Ιταλούς που σύντομα θα την διαβάσουν. Δεν ξέρω πότε θα την δούμε στην χώρα μας στοCOMIXαλλά ευελπιστώ να γίνει σύντομα στους επόμενους μήνες (μετά το 2016). Ας ελπίσουμε το περιοδικό να ξαναβρεί σύντομα τους ρυθμούς του για να μην χάνουμε χρόνο περιμένοντας διάφορες καλές Ιταλικές ιστορίες που κυκλοφορούν.
