We continue with criticism of this year's tenth volume Library of Scarpa. The story scores are now given Gathered in the end together with an average 🙂
Stories
Columbus Butterfly: Nice long story. I liked her character. Jenny. (who here is her second appearance) and the business with butterflies. The script has twists but is based on the classic that Scrooge McDuck He's not fooled so easily and he's very smart. I'll say it was the combination of adventure and how it rolled from Limnoupoli in San Juan. Personally, while I wanted to leave the second part and read it later, the end of the first one made me very curious to find out what's going on and the nephews reacted so that I read the story one by one. Unexpected and happy ending from all sides.
The Nile Colossus: Very nice story. And I'd say maybe the best in the volume. He gets hit at first. It's a good enough accompanying article to figure out what's going on with Colossus. To me it's impressive that people like him Barks (in stories such as The Sinked Cotter, The Crazy Chemical) and Scarpa through comic books gave wonderful, innovative solutions to real problems. The Mulberries They respond to their reputation that says they are wicked and terrible. I liked how they tricked Scrooge, but the frame with Donald was all the money in the end.
Nino the Hippocampus: Nice story, but that's it. But the plan was very simple. So I understand why they didn't go any further with that character.
The Three Bandits: History that I last read in COMIX 302. Coloring was much better. This one is based on a big twist that we don't discover until the end and that's what I liked. It has the western style that is now classic in stories of this kind. Very good.
Total
Yes, and this volume is full and has very nice stories... But unfortunately I consider coloring in some places too bad for our time. Especially in the first story, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd like. It is the original Italian (most) and it seems bad to have seen in other publications the specific stories with much better coloring. The following score applies only to the stories. If we catch the color, the volume will come down a lot.
