COMIX #12 with a full history of Castie. Nice cover, and, of course, we still have one-page stories that we'll talk about later. The twelfth COMIX has ten stories (including 4 single-pages). Let's go see them slowly.

The first story is a 34-page story about Mickey Mouse.

Summary:
The adorable animals, who flood Mickey City and steal the heart of its inhabitants, hide a strange secret... Humor and sapiens in a delightful thriller bearing Castie's signature.

That's a great story with a nice plan that Castie's used to. I liked it enough, but Castie's used to us in better stories and excellent stories like Time Island in the previous issue, which is now His best story according to INDUCKS and no longer the third best. So... 8,5–9/10.

The second story is "The four-perfect seal", script and plan Carl Barks.

Summary:
A brilliant seal fools Donald in a hilarious encounter on the shores of Limnoupoli.

Barks' story was relatively good... Of course, we've seen a lot better ten-pager than him. She had a pretty sudden ending, and I didn't love it. So... 7–7,5/10.

Third story is "The Twin of Calamity".

Summary:
Donald meets a woman who's more unlucky than he is.

A plot and a plan from Daan Gippes. To say that plan was relatively good, but not as good as it's used to us. Also the story script may be somewhat original, but it is not very good in general.

So we'll use 7/10.

Fourth story is "The Fireman".

Summary:
Donald tries to write an important article about a pyromaniac who acts in Limnoupoli.

Screenplay by Frank Yonker & Plan:Bash Haymans... The Worst story of the issue. The plan was so and so as good, but the script was a mess. Six-page history that fills the issue, but that's it.

So we're going to leniently. 6/10.

Fifth story is "The Beast of the Forest".

Summary:
Donald and his nephews and Daisy are going camping in the woods. Donald disguises himself as a gorilla, to terrorize the children, but at the same time a true gorilla escapes and wanders free into the forest.

Well, Carlos' plan. Mota was nice enough, but I wasn't excited about the script. Generally a typical story.

So we'll use 7/10.

Sixth story is "Dangerous Detachment".

Summary:
Uncle Scrooge tells his nephew, Donald, to carry a shipment of gold with a truck, but in fact, there is only sand in the cargo.

This story was the surprise to me beyond Castie's story! The second best story of the issue, by far. The plan of B’ikar is very nice (of course there has been much better) but also the script of Pat and Carol McGreal very good and classic. I loved the story!

So we'll use 8–8,5/10.

The one-pages, now, were four. I am not going to analyse them in particular, but I will say that the Courtesy Disposal (8/10) and Food Idea (7/10). The rest are completely indifferent! As regards "New Komix"They didn't exist in the issue, and instead we had the one-page stories. I think it was too much to have four single-pages, two of which are indifferent. I'd rather we had COMIX News instead of two out of four single-pages.

COMIX takes one 7,5–8/10. Pretty good issue, with some mediocrities. Castie's story was very nice, and the issue closes very well with Vicar's story.. But there were stories like The Pyromaniac And two single-pagers that shouldn't have come in. Generally, this issue had many small stories, and this usually does not work positive regarding COMIX. So we have a smaller score, as I said, some small stories were not good. We'd better have a few pages of stories. The next COMIX is released on 28 July. Let's say the new COMIX completed one year with the next issue! His main story (20 pages) is the "Surreal Journey" by Giorgio Kavacano, with the old style of our well-known charactersFor the rest of the stories of the issue there is no more known, but only that we will have a history of Barks.
