COMIX #15 with a main story designed by Mottura. Very beautiful cover and perhaps one of the finest of the New Period. The fifteenth COMIX has six stories. Let's go see them slowly.

The first story is a 32-page story dedicated to Dylan Dog, with Mickey Mouse in the role of Dylan Mouse, from Paolo Mottura's pen.

Summary:
Mickey wears Dylan Dog's jacket and shirt, one of the most historic comic heroes, and he undertakes to solve the strangest mysteries... A collectible story of the leading creators Tito Farachi and Paolo Motura.

The story, which is a tribute to Detective character Dylan Dog, has Mottura's wonderful design, with a relatively good script. I'd prefer a little more action and chase. But I liked it a lot. To add that the articles on history were excellent. They had comparisons with the original character and information from the creators. So... 8–8,5/10.

The second story is "The Atomic Bomb"Carl Barks.

Summary:
Donald invents an atomic bomb, which causes people to lose their hair!

This story, we don't know why, but it had its original old coloring and coloring used by Americans in other publications, such as 2008. (Look) Here. (see difference). I can't say I've been very upset by the old coloring, but it kind of bothered me that the story got into the reduced first frame... In the regular version it's like this:

Whatever. This is a wonderful story by Barks, which does look like the Crazy Chemical (which is better as a story, though). The early Barks plan is wonderful to me! 8/10 We'll put it on.

The third story is "Sweetwater Sea Wolves".

Summary:
Little Explorers give their leader a very noisy watch, which at first causes them numerous problems, but then proves the cause for their unprecedented success in fishing.

Nicely designed story from Gippes, but the script didn't drive me crazy for some reason. I think he was a little behind somewhere or he seemed a little over-the-top. Little explorers seemed kind of "unrelated," and I don't think we're used to them like this, and they didn't use their all-wise book...

So we'll put the 7,5/10.

Fourth story is "A Famous Zero" Noel Van Horn.

Summary:
Donald makes money using his misfortune.

Nice plan with some problems, but what I liked best is the original idea! We've never seen Donald work and make money through the misfortune that's been beating him all this time. I think it is very clever, but it has been used very well in pages.

It gets comfortable. 8/10.

Fifth story is "The Sand of Time".

Summary:
Uncle Scrooge and his nephews travel to the Hunza Valley, in order to learn the secret of the long life of local residents.

Well, that story was nice, but I'll assess it from Two sides! First of all, the plan is very good and it should be said that it was one of the stories I had predicted at the forum of COMIX Wiki that it would enter and eventually enter! (For issues forecasts look this article) If we take it as a regular story, then we give her one 7,5-8/10, Because I wanted something to happen before they got to Hunza, to face a challenge. Otherwise, if we want to take it as a story based on Barks's same name pedestrian account, we saw in COMIX 121 (and you can read it). Here.) then we'll put one 7/10. And that's because it doesn't follow the story entirely, but Barks' illustrations, which have ducks and not anthropomorphic dogs as residents of Hunza, seem much better than history. I generally expected the story to be better.

Sixth story (and even two-page) is "The hills of peace" by Barks.

Summary:
Donald's attempt to climb ends in an absolute fiasco.

Barks' double story, in terms of design, was very good, but the script and generally seems to me about the story that the two pages are suffocatingly restrictive. So I can't decide exactly what grade to put on, but say it's very good two-fold.

So... 7-8/10.

This COMIX in its structure is one of the best issues and perhaps the best issue structurally (especially in issues of this form, which have relatively large stories and some smaller ones) and gets overall for the excellent articles, one 8–8,5/10. The articles in the issue and especially that about Dylan Dog, which I found excellent as presentation and comparison, were wonderful! To stress that one-page stories fortunately we didn't have, but the ads were OK. Nothing like the previous issue!

In the next COMIX we'll see a main 43-page story, The Great Encyclopedia The Paolo Motura. (More) in our article on advertising) It's on Tuesday, October 27th. For the rest of the stories of the issue, nothing more is known, but only that we will have a story of Barks.
