New COMIX 22: Back to Monotonia

COMIX #22 which is another issue with a republished history of Don Rosa, "Back to Monotony". The cover beautiful and better than this was used in the First Period but the structure of the issue is like that of previous issues of 2016.

Twenty-second COMIX has total, 7 stories. Let's go take a look at them.

The first story "Back to Monotony" has 28 pages.

Summary:
Uncle Scrooge, along with his nephews, goes to legendary monotony for square eggs. But they're being followed by the sleazy Chrysokoukis.

Another story I've read several times. Rosa's plan also improves the script he thought of to create the sequel to Carl Barks' epic history. Lost in the Andes that we saw in COMIX #1 & 188 of the first Period is also very good. Of course, we don't forget that we have Rosa's story in the first quarter of COMIX 34 with a different cover. This is one of Rosa's first sequels regarding Barks' stories. Smart character handling and beautiful design.

For the above, I'll add one. 9,5-10/10.

The second story is "The Odyssey of a Cursed".

Summary:
Donald suffers various misfortunes that he attributes to refusing to hire a lucky flower from a gypsy. So he sends his nephews to Grandma Duck and becomes a sailor.

Let's start with the secondary stories of the issue. History from Vicar's pen which I didn't like. The plot is based on misfortunes that Donald suffered after not accepting the flower from a gypsy. But this does not coincide with Donald's behavior who knows he is unlucky and probably the world's luckiest duck. So, the script doesn't stand, since Donald is already very unlucky and all these calamities that found him in history could be attributed to his own misfortune. The plan was relatively good, but the story's nothing special and it's got issues... We'll put one on. 5,5-6/10!

The third story is "Prometheus' gift".

Summary:
Mickey and Goofy and Horatio find shelter because of a sudden storm in a cave. The fumes of a flammable material create hallucinations.

So we've reached Van Horne's story... Which, as usual, is the worst and most ridiculous of the issue... The plan is very modest while the script is pointless and generally fits for Super Mickey... Well, that story isn't about COMIX. What's wrong with Van Horne? But what I do know is that we're losing great stories with Mickey.

One 4,5-5/10 I think that's enough.

The fourth story is "The invasion of insects".

Summary:
Donald versus Jones with victims... Innocent insects and unlucky fellow citizens!

The second best story the issue had. A classic Donald showdown with Jones that had nothing particularly interesting. The plan's pretty good. He steps on scripts of legendary Barks but does not approach humor and generally the situations Barks had in his stories.

So, 6,5/10.

The third story is "Escape from the Middle Ages".

Summary:
Magica uses Donald's three nephews' panorama to steal the lucky penny.

History by Mau Hymans.. This is to fill the issue and it's meaningless... As for the plan, one is good and one is not. As with Noel Van Horne, so is the Staff passing on Hawmans... If we don't read his stories, we'll get hurt.

One, 5,5/10 We'll put it on.

The sixth story is "Pashal pandemonium".

Summary:
The Easter rabbit is accidentally cloned by an invention of Cyrus and Limnoupoli is tiring in Easter hidden eggs.

I understand that story came in for Easter, but I don't think it's good... The script is not something special and history is one of the very complementary... Rota's plan is what we're used to in the tens of pages we've seen in COMIX... (Some of them are worth...) These stories, of course, of Rota, usually have in the good issues the position of the worst story but here is the third best of the issue.

One 5,5-6/10 I think that's enough.

Seventh story is "The Incorrigible".

Summary:
The Mourgols enter the Kyros workshop, and are "photographed" with its latest invention without anyone noticing them.

Καλό το σχέδιο αλλά η ιστορία ήταν πολύ συμπληρωματική… Μπήκε για να γεμίσει το τεύχος και δεν είχε κάτι φοβερό το σενάριο. Οι Μουργόλυκοι εξαιτίας κάποιας νέα συσκευής του Κύρου ξεχνάνε την τέχνη της παρανομίας… Κάτι τέτοιο παρόμοιο έχουμε ξαναδιαβάσει στο παρελθόν αλλά και πάλι σε μια 9σέλιδη ιστορία μας δείχνουν ότι προσπαθούν να ξαναμάθουν όσα ξέχασαν… Στο τέλος επανέρχονται στην κανονική τους κατάσταση… Το σενάριο θα μπορούσε πιστεύω να βγει και σε λιγότερες σελίδες.

One 5,5-6/10 So for the story…

Το ΚΟΜΙΞ #22 ήταν σαν τα ΚΟΜΙΞ #19 και ΚΟΜΙΞ #20… Θα βάλουμε για τα παραπάνω 6/10 as an issue. Πάρα πολύ μέτριο τεύχος και καμία ιστορία πέραν του Ρόσα δεν ήταν κάτι το ιδιαίτερο. Και αυτός βέβαια είναι ένας λόγος που άργησα να κάνω την κριτική… Βαριόμουν να τελειώσω το τεύχος και να διαβάσω κάποιες ιστορίες.

Ας μιλήσουμε τώρα για το επόμενο ΚΟΜΙΞ…. Κοιτάξτε το ημερολόγιο Ντίσνεϋ τον μήνα Μάιο και θα δείτε την νέα ιστορία για το ΚΟΜΙΞ 23. Στο νέο τεύχος θα δούμε πάλι (για 5 φορά!) ανατύπωση ιστορίας του Ντον Ρόσα “Η αυτού μεγαλειότης Σκρουτζ Μακ Ντακ“ως κύρια ιστορία 28 σελίδων. Η ιστορία αυτή έχει μπει παλιά στο ΚΟΜΙΞ 198 in 2004 and 2009 in COMIX Library… Η συγκεκριμένη ιστορία είναι υπερ-πρόσφατη! Το ΚΟΜΙΞ 198 μπορεί ακόμα να βρει κάποιος αρκετά εύκολα… It's on Friday. 31 Maίου. We don't know anything about the rest of the story. Of course, our presentation does not end here, as I shall say again, as in the previous presentation, a word.

Το εξώφυλλο που θα έπρεπε να είχαμε δει στο ΚΟΜΙΞ 198 το βλέπουμε τώρα στο ΚΟΜΙΞ 23 της Β΄Περιόδου….

Σύμφωνα με το ημερολόγιο η αφίσα για το μήνα Ιούνιο είναι αφιερωμένη στην ιστορία “Θησαυρός στην γυάλα” published in ΚΟΜΙΞ 75 The 1994 and COMIX Library 2 The 2009… Από ότι φαίνεται μέχρι τώρα αυτήν να περιμένετε για το ΚΟΜΙΞ 24… Βέβαια, σε σχέση με τις άλλες ιστορίες που έχουμε δει μέχρι στιγμής είναι καλό να τονιστεί ότι αυτή η Θαλασσινή ιστορία του Ρόσα είναι 20 σελίδες οπότε είμαι πολύ περίεργος να δω τι άλλο θα μπει στο τεύχος από ιστορίες. Εάν μπουν πολλές δεκασέλιδες (6 θα μπορούσαν να βάλουν..) πάλι το τεύχος θα είναι χειρότερο από τα ΚΟΜΙΞ 19 & ΚΟΜΙΞ 20…

Εκνευριστικό είναι επίσης το γεγονός ότι από τον τεράστιο Κάστυ με τις ιστοριάρες του με τον Μίκυ πήγαμε στις χάλια ιστορίες του Νόελ Βαν Χορν. Είναι τραγικό να υπάρχουν καλές ιστορίες και να μην μπαίνουν… Υπάρχουν και τόσες ιστορίες με τον Φαντομία και μπαίνουν μετά από την ιστορία του Ρόσα ιστορίες τις 3ης και 4ης διαλογής. Από λογική να το πάρει κανείς δεν βγαίνει.

Εν τέλει, το ΚΟΜΙΞ συνεχίζει την μετριότατη πορεία που είχε αρχίσει από τον Ιανουάριο του 2016. No improvement εδώ και 4 τεύχη στις συνοδευτικές ιστορίες. Και από ότι δείχνουν τα πράγματα τευχάκια σαν το ΚΟΜΙΞ 1, 11, 17 και 18 θα κάνουμε πολύ καιρό να δούμε…
