COMIX #21 and March ends with one issue with another republished story by Don Rosa, "Last Elk for Dawson". The cover is beautiful with its imperfections in color. They take the French covers Rosa once made for the reprints of his stories in France, but they leave them the same... Goldie's hair is blonde when young and grey When she's as old as Scrooge. The structure of the issue is like that of the previous one, but there were some ten-pages that were quite good.
The 20th COMIX has total, 7 stories. Let's go take a look at them.
The first story "Last Elk for Dawson" has 28 pages.
Summary:
Scrooge and Donald and the three nephews go to Klondike to find a sled of mementos that Scrooge had lost in the glacier many years ago. They meet Golden Goldy and face Glatch Lera.
Another story I've read many times, and it's a little touching at the end. Rosa's plan here is starting to change and it's getting better! Very interesting is this story designed by Rosa on Carl Barks' drawing board!
For the above, I'll add one. 9,5-10/10.
The second story is "Long and beloved."
Summary:
In Donald's neighborhood moves a famous mountaineer and writer who causes the jealousy of Donald and Mr. Jones who will also try to realize a great feat, namely the ascent of one of the steepest mountains in the world, Katsavrah.
Let's go see the secondary stories of the issue. Let's start with Vicar's story. Well, her plan was moderate in several places but generally good. As for the story script it was relatively original and I liked it. We'll put one on. 7-7,5/10!
The third story is "Two Goofys are many".
Summary:
Professor Statik builds a three-dimensional copycat and Mickey and Guffy convince him to double Guffy. Mickey thinks he's gonna have two best friends, but things don't work out the way he expects.
So Van Horn's story is the worst of the issue... The plan is mediocre, but is the script pointless to say, crap? Well, that story isn't about COMIX. There are so many stories about Mickey. Can't be from Casty's stories that we've fallen into stories with Mickey 3/4th sorting. I'll say again as in the previous presentation... Does the staff think we missed Van Horn in COMIX?
One 5-5,5/10 I think that's enough.
The fourth story is "Multiple beauty".
Summary:
Cyrus invents a spray with which anyone can change the shape of his body, face, hair. Donald and Scrooge are thinking of making the most of it commercially, but Cyrus, seeing what came out with his use, destroys the chemical formula.
Best ten pages in the issue! The plan was beautiful and I liked the script. The script is in some lines typical but it ends well for poor Donald. I loved how Uncle Scrooge joined history. So, 7,5-8/10.
The third story is "Time on order".
Summary:
Cyrus tries to find ways to control weather phenomena, but when he puts out his inventions in mass production something always goes wrong.
Story from Freddy Milton. This is to fill the issue and it's meaningless... As for the plan, one is good and one is not. One, 5,5/10 We'll put it on.
The sixth story is Funny video..
Summary:
Donald decides to take part in a competition that awards the funniest video with a cruise.
Hawmans' plan isn't bad, but he's got his little issues on some frame... From a script point of view, history is nothing original... We've got better stories about funny videos like one of Carl Barks's, where the nephews are filming Donald and making him a buzzard all over Lake Town. The end is an out-brake Donald. Here we have Daisy and her friends...
One 6,5/10 I think that's enough.
Seventh story is "The precious chocolate".
Summary:
The Moorlyns steal from an office of lost objects a ring and pursued by a police officer are forced to sneak into a chocolate factory and throw it into a hot chocolate cauldron intended for the manufacture of chocolates. They'll turn around town to find the chocolate in which the ring is...
It reminded me Barks of Branka's plan in this story! The Morgols may look Barksic but the ten-page is not a great script. I expected to see something better maybe a comeo than Uncle Scrooge. History doesn't make you remember it without being mean.
One 6,5-7/10 We'll put it on.
COMIX #21 was somewhat better than COMIX #19 and COMIX #20 but still overall the result is nothing special. The structure was the same as the previous 2 issues; reprint and five tens, which we will forget after a while. I hope in the future we have another page. I don't know how much one can bear this structure... The issue again relies heavily on Rosa and this is also seen from the level of the rest of the stories... Of course it should be said that we had an improvement on the ten-page... We'll do the above. 6.5-7/10 as an issue.
From the next issues, I expect to see something other than what we've seen in the last three issues, but I'll probably be denied... I think the best thing to satisfy everyone would be this: an unpublished multi-page story + history of Rosa + 2-3 tens. But it seems hard to see that but I can't understand why...

Let's go to the next COMIX. Look at the Disney calendar in April and you'll see the new story about COMIX 21... Yeah, that's right. In the new issue we will see again (for four times!) reprint history of Don Rosa "Back to Monotony" as a main 28-page story. This story has been in the past COMIX 35 in 1991 and 2009 in COMIX Library… It's on Friday. 29 April. We don't know anything about the rest of the story. Of course, our presentation does not end here, as I shall say again, as in the previous presentation, a word.

The cover is awesome in relation to the original we saw in COMIX 35, but the magazine is judged primarily for its contents.
According to the calendar the poster for the month of May is dedicated to the story "His Majesty Scrooge McDuck" published in COMIX 198 the 2004 and the COMIX 2 Library 2009...so it's too recent and it'll still look bad to reprint Rosa for five consecutive times! Even Casty had not been in the new series more than four times in a row. So I want to hope for something else, different.
Finally, to say that Kathimerini must understand that COMIX should not done a reprint magazine. I think that if we saw the reprints more sparsely almost no one would have a problem. But the big problem of Kathimerini is no variety in creators. And I mean they start taking turns creators like Casty, Rosa, Mottura putting their stories as central for four issues, for example, and then streak another creator. Even an admirer of the creator to be that I think is getting tired...
According to the above... What do you think?
