COMIX #20 and February ends with one issue with another republished story by Don Rosa, "The Liquid". The cover is very beautiful, but let me say again that I do not consider reprinting something positive... The structure of the issue is like that of the previous one, which is alarming and disappointing.

The 20th COMIX has total, 7 stories. Let's go take a look at them.

The first story "The Liquid" has 26 pages.

Summary:
The Moorlyns acquire two radial pistols that neutralize friction and inertia. With them they try to steal Scrooge's money but all they do is cause the biggest dollar flood of all time and go – once again – to prison.

History I've been reading, and it's very nice. Of course, I won't say about scripts and plans, because both are very good. Of course, Rossa's plan is kind of early, and that kind of messes me up. The height of his plan of course can be seen in stories as in Letter from home, which according to Inducks is now considered its best story.

For the above, I'll add one. 9–9,5/10.

The second story is "Dance Queen".

Summary:
Uncle and nephew place a bet resulting in Una undergoing radical stylistic changes...

Let's go see the secondary stories of the issue. Let's start with the Una story... I don't know about you, but her stories didn't miss me at all. I find this one pretty good because of the bet played between Uncle and nephew resulting in some funny frame but that's it. Generally the script was very predictable but the plan was too good. We'll put on a 6/10!

The third story is A cross for dinner.

Summary:
Scrooge does everything he can to properly nurture his permanently penniless nephew. But Donald and the nephews are going to the counterattack!

The story of Gippes even though it had a script Barks kind of let me down... Mostly the design (which was pretty bad at some points) and little coloring. We've seen Gypsy's plan better in stories like King Scrooge I. The script was original, but as a whole, I didn't go crazy. In the end the creator chose to be fair and not displease anyone but if the legendary Barks completed it then I think it would give her a different route! It was typically good so we'll put the 6,5/10.

The fourth story is "A unlucky girl".

Summary:
Gastone gets in touch with the luckiest girl in the world, but their chemistry isn't as lucky...

The story wasn't bad, but it wasn't much. It was actually one of the stories you'd read and forget about after some. It was kind of boring, but her plan was good. Tales like that with Gastone, we've seen enough at Mickey Mouse... She could be better. So, 6/10.

The third story is "Golden catch".

Summary:
Chrysokoukas announces to Uncle Scrooge that he now has the exclusiveness in world fishing. But Scrooge, with Cyrus' help, goes to the counterattack!

History from Mau Haymans... This is to fill the issue but it's not bad. But without substance... As for the plan, one is good and one is not. One, 5,5/10 We'll put it on.

Sixth story is "Rice Collector".

Summary:
Inspector O'Hara takes Mickey to help him solve a mystery involving a collection of rat-hero paintings that had disappeared without trace!

So Van Horn's story has its little problems... And she's not very good at drawing, and the script puts in a ten-page script that's all tied up... The script had an interesting one, but Van Horne and the extent of our story are still breaking. I think that would be better for Super Mickey this particular story. Still, I don't understand... does the staff think we missed Van Horn in COMIX?

One 5,5/10 I think that's enough.

Seventh story is "Lonely Cowboy Ballad".

Summary:
Manager of the idol of Donland's three nieces, he exploits his reputation to easily enrich himself through hypnosis.

I like Cesar Ferilloli because he usually pictures nice scripts. I can't say the same thing this time... The script was quite simple but the plan was very good. I didn't find it original either. A ten-page medium enough, we'd say.

One 5,5-6/10 We'll put it...

As in the previous issue not a single page, but the five ten pages, along with the five pages of Hymans, were quite tiring! Again, over a couple of stories, again more interesting I found the letter column...

COMIX #20 was a little better than the previous but still as I said a little. The structure was the same as the previous issue; reprint and five tens, which we will forget after a week. In general, the structure they use is not good... Those who have Rosa's story why take the issue again if the rest of the stories are too modest? I don't like reprinting, but it bothers me more that beyond Rosa's story we don't have any other multiple pages. The most right thing would be for young readers and old ones to be satisfied! The issue is based on Rosa and this is also seen from the level of the rest of the stories... We'll do the above. 66.5/10 as an issue.

In an e-mail to which they responded to one person from the GreekComics forum who congratulates them initially on the re-published of Rosa and suggests the introduction of two multi-pages, one in reprint and one original, did not reply to the second partAnd that's worrying. I think it is bad enough that only those who have a positive comment to say and not those who have something negative to blame. Another thing they said is they think it's good to get Rosa's stories back in so that the old people who don't have the old issues can see him again. "their publication will help, especially young children, to love Disney comic books".

Now to comment on the last period. I think it's a big foul what they say about old people and young people. Most old people have Rosa's stories in the old issues and there is a Library as well as English Publications, i.e. ways to find his stories. And how many times do we have Rosa's stories, 4-5? For young readers I recognize it is good to meet Rosa but since they want to meet Rosa they might as well have his stories as secondarys and put other unpublished stories as principal. And not put on the covers. Like the new approach they said they'd make... They didn't do anything terrible. They just put the cover in plain and added articles to Rosa's stories. I still don't think anyone will love Disney's stories only if he reads Rosa. And I say that being a big fan of his. I think it's stupid, though, to drive out old readers when you can satisfy both sides.

Again I will say that I do not know how much it is worth for the younger reader to give 3.50 euros for the issue. However, for the old ones who have the story 1–2 times, it is not definitely worth it. For me the best thing to satisfy everyone would be this: an unpublished multi-page story + history of Rosa + 2-3 tens.

Let's go to the next COMIX. Look at the Disney calendar in March and you'll see the new story about COMIX 21... Yeah, that's right. In the new issue we will see again (for three times!) reprint history of Don Rosa "Last sled for Dawson" as a main 28-page story. This story has been in the past COMIX 137 1998 and 2008 COMIX Library...so it's quite recent and easy to find it... It's on Thursday. 31 March. We don't know anything about the rest of the story. Of course, our presentation does not end here, as I shall say again, as in the previous presentation, a word.

The cover again is very beautiful (of course they did not achieve Goldie's hair color at all, which we see correctly in the image I put above...), but a magazine is not judged only on its cover, but mainly on its contents. What I'm hoping is to see at least another multi-page other than Rosa.

Apparently the next issue goes according to the calendar. That seems to me and I'll be pretty sure when we see COMIX 22. According to the calendar, the poster for the month of April is dedicated to the history "Return to Monotonia" published in Komix 35 in 1991 and the Komix Library 2 in 2009. .

If they continue at the rate they go with Rosa's reprints as main stories, it won't do the magazine any good. COMIX is not only Rosa and Barks... There are other designers. They'll have to give the rest of them a chance. Also, it is wrong to take a designer and then put a streak on some issues of his stories. A little variety doesn't hurt.

In the end, I will re-emphasize as in my previous review that COMIX should not done a reprint magazine. I'm not saying, reprints are good when it comes to very old stories or stories that are hard to find. After all, if Rossa's stories want to be put in the magazine, let them be secondary and not steal the position of the main story. Rosa's stories are wonderful, I say this as a great fan, but the way in which they are currently being used and presented in the magazine is the problem. What many of us expect from Kathimerini for Rosa is a decent library with texts and not reprints at COMIX.

According to the above... What do you think?
